Alexa Farina
Alexa lectures Critical Studies and Creative Development at the Vega Durban campus. She has a Masters Degree in Fine Art from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Alexa is a part-time Japanophile that loves running, the mountains and making things out of clay.

Alka Singh
Alka is one of our Durban Contact Navigators. She attained her BCom Honours Marketing from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She is the voice behind all the full-time enquiries, and will assist you in finding the right full-time courses. Alka likes to frequent school expos and career fairs.

Anet Norval
When not speeding down a hill on a mountain bike or covered in oil paint, Anet teaches Creative Development to second- and third-year students at the Durban campus. She collects action figures, and loves playing PlayStation. Anet is currently working towards a Masterís in Fine Art.

Brinda Heeraman
When not at Vega, Brinda is her children is BOOKKEEPER, meaning she keeps their schoolbooks. She loves her job as Finance Navigator, HR & Operations, but also to unwind after work by spending time with her family at the beach, park and movies, or just cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

Clint Griffin
Apart from being the food-provider for Mistress Chi the Wonder Cat, he is also a husband, creator, communicator and lover of all things 'interwebby'. His interests include the future shape of Social Tech and conversations around this thing called Branding, with a fine eye for beautiful design to back up beautiful ideas. With a National Diploma in Graphic Design from ML Sultan, a BA in Communication from UNISA and working towards a possible Masters in Social Technology, Clint likes to facilitate discussion and exploration of how we can do things differently.

Farhana Yunnus
Farhana is Campus Librarian at Vega Durban. She has two Honours Degrees and currently working towards her Masters in Information Science. She has a 14 year old son. She likes reading, watching movies and photography. She also enjoys chilling with her son engaging in “words” because he has the mind of a 30 year old.

Graham Downing
Graham is a Subject Lecturer and Subject Navigator for second-year Visual Communications. He has a B.Tech Degree in Graphic Design from the Durban University of Technology. He is passionate about design and creative ideas, and enjoys working with Vega students to solve problems through creativity.

Greg Tregoning
Greg is the Campus Navigator of the Vega Durban Campus. He is a co-founder of Vega which, in response to the requirements of local and global markets and rebelling against the narrow scope of an advertising school, was established thirteen years ago in Johannesburg. After working as a Creative Director for a number of years, Greg realized that the future of communication lies in the cosmos of young talent. He has, during his years as a lecturer, crafted innovative ways of nurturing the creative passion within each student, redefining the territory of brand communications, whilst firmly rooting their skills to exceed industry standards. As well as heading up the Durban Campus he runs workshops in Creative Writing for Radio and Television, Creative Tools and Integrated and Applied Branding.

Jade Kunene
Although she can't draw to save her life, it doesn't mean she's not creative. She is an "ideator", the glue that keeps the entire campaign together. Also, as Contact Navigator, she will help you find the Vega course best suited to you.

Joy Chiliza
Joy is a Frontline Navigator at Vega Durban. She has a certificate in Business Administration and is currently studying towards a Diploma in Office Administration.

Lanel Janse van Vuuren
Lanel is Photography Navigator for Vega's Durban campus. She has a BTech in Fine Art and is currently working towards her Masters at the Durban University of Technology. She has been involved with the photographic industry for nearly a decade, and her portfolio includes fine art photographic exhibitions as well as commercial work. Lanel recently discovered a love for needles and thread, and creates weird little plush dolls and these are photographed and posted on her OhSoPlush blog.

Lundi Coetzee
After completing her BCom Marketing Degree at the University of Pretoria, Lundi attended VEGA to complete her Honors in Brand Leadership. She then worked in the industry for about 5 years, for the likes of Verimark, SABmiller, NuMetro and Warner Brothers Gaming. Then she got married, moved from JHB to Ballito and decided to become a full time surfer. That didn’t go so well, so now Lundi tries to share some of her industry knowledge together with Kotler, Keller and Aaker to aspiring Brand Managers.

Nadira Singh
Nadira, Relationship Navigator for part-time courses at Vega Durban. She graduated with
a Bcom - Human Resource Management (Cum Laude) from the University of Kwa-
-zulu Natal and is also a registered facilitator with the ETDP-SETA.
Nadira has been in the tertiary environment for over 6 years. She loves
spending time with her nephew and her nieces who are triplets.

Naretha Pretorius
Naretha is the Academic Co-Navigator for Vega Durban. She has a BA in Fine Art from the University of Pretoria and is currently working towards her Masters in Fine Art at the Durban University of Technology specializing in identity, memory and auto/ethnography. Naretha also acts as the Field Navigator for Creative Development where she nationally oversees the development of the curriculum and roll out on all three campuses. She lectures into module 2 (Alchemy) of the Honours programme facilitating the creative activation of research insights.

Peter Babol
Peter is a Multimedia Navigator and holds a BBA in Marketing. He likes music and actively participates in his sokkie band. He enjoys Flash and making things interactive. Oh and long walks on the beach.

Simon Grainger
Simon is a lecturer at Vega, School of Brand Leadership, Durban Campus. He lectures into the Honours degree in Brand Leadership, Innovation in Brand Building to the third year Brand Building and Management Degree students as well as the Consumer Behaviour coursework for diploma students. In addition to his lecturing, Simon is pursuing part-time brand consultancy work, under his brand: BrandBright. He holds his Masters in Media and Communication, and has a strong interest in design, surfing and all-things branding.

Sinead Dennis
Sinead completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree at The University of KwaZulu-Natal, where she majored in Media Communications & Performance. She completed a second undergraduate degree at Vega majoring in Multimedia Design, and continued with Vega to obtain her Honours Degree in Brand Leadership. Sinead joined the Vega faculty in 2009, and currently lectures Multimedia Design in the CBC Degree. She also works as a freelance designer and is actively involved in the local music industry.

Selvin Naidoo
Selvin is our popular young IT Support Navigator at Vega Durban. He has an NQF Level 5 qualification in system support, and is currently studying towards his MCSE. He is a fun-loving, bubbly, friendly and outgoing person who always has a smile on his face, and enjoys assisting the students with their IT needs. In his spare time, you can catch him lurking at the Play Ground, playing pool, or at Gateway Mall.

Sonya Jardine
After ten years in the industry and in need of a change, Sonya started at Vega in November 2007. As a Relationship Navigator, she enjoys navigating the students through the pitfalls, challenges and successes of university life. When not caring for her brood at Vega, she is at home caring for her brood there, and using any spare time (what's that?) to read a book, take a walk, or drink a glass (or two) of red wine.

Steffie Betts
Steffie's heart beats to the sound of her own drum while she laughs and assists the Durban students as one of the Relationship Navigators. Graduate support is also part of her portfolio, and she is active in finding career opportunities for all Vega graduates, nationally. She is dedicated to the local music industry, supporting and promoting many of our favourite artists and bands, loves the outdoors and easily makes friends with animals. Having spent many years in the industry, Steffie has been with Vega for almost six years.

Steve Kotze
Steven Kotze graduated from the University of Natal with a BA Honours Degree in History (awarded cum laude). After that he worked as a guide on the Anglo-Zulu War battlefields of Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift, working at the world-famous Fugitives' Drift Lodge with David & Nicky Rattray. Steven currently teaches Critical Studies and Copywriting at the Vega school in Durban. His work is regularly published in travel journals and the design magazine ijusi, and has been awarded several prizes, including a silver commendation from the New York Design Guild, a D&AD award and six Loeries. In 2009 he released a spoken word CD on the Monastery Missions of southern KwaZulu-Natal, and last year he published a photographic monograph of farm gates, and the history of how land is named in South Africa. Steve rides his bike to work.
