Student Bursary
The Vega Student Bursary Fund was established to assist talented learners who lack the financial means to fulfil their dreams of entering the world of brand communications.
This Fund is primarily supported by contributions from the communications and branding industry. Another initiative supporting the Bursary Fund is client contributions for brand campaigns developed by Vega students, which also enable us to include real-world experience as part of the curriculum.
Fund contributors can partake in the bursary student selection process or may simply give to the Fund for reallocation by a Vega Bursary panel. Either way a Bursary Fund contribution is a social investment. Many companies have experienced the benefits of sponsoring young talent from Vega; this includes having untainted, young creative minds on tap during holidays and internship periods.
Companies who partner Vega to assist these students are actively contributing to the transformation process and will benefit in the long run as this partnership will enable them to reach a representative employee profile. Transformation Partnership benefits include:
- Corporate Social Investment recognition.
- Automatic eligibility to host Vega internships.
- Recruitment opportunities that can be custom-made to company needs.
- Research opportunities.
- Discount for all Vega Moon courses and corporate training solutions to employees of a partner company.
- Companies with existing learnership programmes might be able to link this initiative with their SSETA arrangements.
- Proactive BEE involvement.
- Publicity through Vega media exposure.

'We've got some wonderful ideas, let's start living here in Africa, let the youth develop those things and I think that's what Vega is doing.' Gail Curtis - CEO, Old Shanghai
