THE OPPORTUNITY
This is not a typical internship. You'll be embedded in a fast-moving proptech company at the intersection of behavioural science, AI, and real estate — working directly alongside our leadership team: a PhD in behavioural science who has advised Fortune 100 brands, a proven property development specialist, a technical founder experienced in AI and e-commerce, and a technical lead who evolves our platform daily. You'll be responsible for bringing the Altavera brand to life — through compelling content, memorable events, and a consistent visual and verbal identity that makes buyers, developers, and partners feel something. You'll have real ownership, real impact, and real learning from day one.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Content Creation
- Produce short-form video content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok — from filming and scripting to editing and publishing
- Transform complex behavioural and pricing insights into engaging, accessible stories for our audience
- Write copy for social media posts, newsletters, project pages, and email campaigns
- Maintain and grow Altavera's presence across all social platforms with a consistent brand voice
- Support the content needs of our active projects — The Salvo (Sea Point) and Harbour Road (Kleinmond), Paradigm (city centre)
Brand & Design
- Shape and steward Altavera's brand voice, visual identity, and tone across all channels
- Create on-brand graphics, presentation decks, and marketing collateral
- Assist in the development of project-specific marketing materials for new developments
- Ensure consistency across digital and physical touchpoints
Events & Webinars
- Assist in planning and executing in-person buyer and developer events in Cape Town
- Support the production and promotion of online webinars and thought-leadership sessions
- Coordinate logistics, materials, and follow-up communications for events
- Help create event content, including presentations, invitations, and post-event summaries
- Be a confident, professional brand ambassador at all Altavera events
Marketing Operations
- Monitor and report on social media analytics, email performance, and campaign results
- Assist with paid digital advertising campaigns where relevant
- Maintain a content calendar and ensure timely delivery of all marketing outputs
- Support the team with market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend spotting

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Essential
- Proficiency in short-form video creation and editing (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar)
- Experience managing social media accounts (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Strong written communication skills in English
- Basic graphic design ability (Canva, Adobe, Figma, or similar)
Advantageous
- Studying or qualified in Marketing, Communications, Media, Brand Strategy, or similar
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, etc.)
- Photography skills or an eye for visual composition
- Interest or background in real estate, architecture, or property
- Event coordination or production experience
