Marketing Intern

Ascend Group Media is looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team in Claremont.

This is a hands-on role that offers exposure to a broad range of digital marketing activities and client work. You will be trained and guided across multiple disciplines including SEO, content writing, social media management, email marketing, and creative production.

The Marketing Intern will contribute to:

• SEO implementation and keyword content production
• Writing articles, blogs, and supporting web copy
• Designing marketing assets and creatives for social media and email campaigns
• Managing and scheduling social media content
• Email campaign setup and execution
• Supporting broader marketing tasks including outreach, research, headline and copy development, and reporting This is an in-office role and suited for someone who enjoys learning, taking initiative, and producing high quality creative work.
• Strong creative execution and the ability to upskill rapidly are central to success in this role.

• Based in Cape Town and able to work from our Claremont office
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30 (Fridays until 16:00)
• Excellent creative design capability with proficiency in Canva and CapCut
• Strong written English and interest in writing articles, blogs, and marketing copy
• Genuine interest in digital marketing with a willingness to learn SEO, email, and social media platforms
• Ability to work independently, follow briefs, and deliver tasks on time 
• Reliable, organised, and proactive in upskilling
