The key responsibility of the Communications Coordinator will be to implement all organisational communications by devising ways to effectively share internal company information with/between employees and ensure that external stakeholders stay informed of company achievements and activities.
To determine which platforms best serve to facilitate communication and put them in place making use of analytics to track effectiveness.
Setting up communications protocols to ensure consistency of information sharing across the organisation, and providing expert advice to internal and collaborator communication campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Internal communications
- Carry out the Foundation’s internal communications
- Embed DTHF culture, shared brand values and help the organisation speak with a common voice
- Create engaging content for the internal communications channels (intranet, email, in-person events, virtual events and reports)
- Collaborate on high-level internal communications material, including presentations, company announcements, annual reports, newsletters and notifications
- Create effective communication in response to crisis or emergency situations
- External communications
- Compiling press releases when required
- Manage and respond to the generic company email info address
- Manage and respond to messages received on social media platforms
- Organise media representation at events and manage/respond to press enquiries
- Staying up to date with the latest HIV news and related health conditions
- Giving briefings, sending out recaps regarding health policy changes and updates
- Manage and update the DTHF website and ensure content accuracy
- Manage and update DTHF social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Linked-In, X)
- Facilitate DTHF research finding dissemination using appropriate mechanisms
- Monitoring and feedback o Build feedback mechanisms into the communications strategy
- Regularly evaluate the efficiency of the channels used via analytics, making continuous improvements
- Develop tools to illustrate organisational impact to stakeholders
- Assist with tracking
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- 1 - 3 years of experience implementing cross-department communications
- A verifiable track record of successful communication campaign implementation
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of internal audiences
- Expert interpersonal skills, working with team members across several units to ensure an efficient information flow
- Understanding of various channels of internal communication in a hybrid environment
- Experience, including drafting and publishing of written and audio-visual content across social media platforms
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
