Brief Interpretation, Brainstorming and Conceptualisation
- Understand the design brief, objectives, and deliverables and interpret them strategically
- Research and develop mood boards, scamps, and the concept as a whole
- Stay abreast of design trends and techniques
- Remain familiar with competitors' creative executions
- Actively contribute to brainstorming sessions and concept development with the wider creative team
Creative Collaboration, Design and Execution
- Create designs from conceptualisation through to final execution
- Prepare and present draft designs to the Studio Team Leader, Senior Graphic Designer, and Advertising and Promotional Manager for review and approval
- Generate a wide range of creative outputs, including print collateral, digital assets, electronic communication, and motion design content (e.g. animations, social media videos, promotional videos)
- Apply motion design principles to enhance storytelling and audience engagement
- Display strong typographical, layout, visual hierarchy, and proofreading skills
- Ability to react timeously and efficiently to ad hoc, last-minute briefs within tight deadlines
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including key lead agencies and the brand marketing team
- Be fully involved in the review process of creative work produced by both self and fellow designers, providing constructive feedback
- Ensure brand consistency and adherence to the Brand VI Guide across all creative outputs
- Ensure all creative executions adhere to policies and incorporate relevant feedback
- Be responsible for applying fundamental design principles across all creative outputs
- Ensure all artwork is prepared correctly for final output across print and digital platforms
Management of Tasks
- Effectively manage and multitask across numerous creative executions, ensuring work is delivered within set deadlines
- Manage the revision (revert) process with a high level of attention to detail and efficiency
- Be responsible for checking designs and proofreading all creative outputs
- Demonstrate proactive ownership of artwork generation while adhering to brand guidelines and visual identity requirements
- Prioritise workload effectively and adapt to changing business needs
Competencies / Skills required:
- Fully proficient in Adobe Creative Suite [Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign] and MS Office
- A creative thinker, excellent at idea generation and visualisation
- Ability to verbally and visually communicate effectively
- An eye for detail and a methodical organised way of working even when multi-tasking
- A good understanding of the print process and setting up artwork correctly for print
- Knowledge of animation and digital design is advantageous
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take feedback constructively and refine work accordingly
Minimum Qualification Requirement:
- Minimum of a Degree in Visual Communication / Graphic Design / Communication Design with a strong design portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects across multiple mediums
Minimum Work Experience Requirement:
- Minimum of 3 or more years of experience within a Design capacity gained in house or within an agency
