We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to support the CEO of a small but growing marketing agency.
This role is multi-faceted: from helping with social media and content to reporting, outreach, and admin. It’s a flexible role (3–4 hours per day), but requires reliability, creativity, and excellent time management. You’ll also join 1–2 in-person sessions per week for brainstorming, strategy, and check-ins.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Create monthly content calendars (ideas + planning).
- Write engaging post copy for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Design graphics using Canva (or similar tools).
- Schedule content across platforms.
- Stay up to date with trending content and bring new ideas to the team.
Community Management
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across client accounts.
- Ensure no comments/messages are left unanswered.
- Engage with client audiences to boost brand visibility.
Outreach & Growth
- Assist with LinkedIn outreach campaigns (training provided).
- Help track and manage connections, follow-ups, and engagement.
- Support in growing the CEO's personal LinkedIn presence through consistent posting and engagement.
Content Creation & Shooting
- Attend client shoots (must have a good quality smartphone).
- Capture both photo and video content on-site.
- Edit short-form videos (reels, TikToks, etc.) using CapCut or similar.
- Ensure all footage is clear, professional, and aligned with brand guidelines.
Reporting & Analytics
- Pull social media statistics from all platforms.
- Create simple, easy-to-read reports for the CEO and clients.
- Highlight insights and suggest improvements for future content.
Email Marketing (Basic)
- Assist with scheduling and building mailers (training provided).
- Help keep mailing lists organised.
7. General Support to CEO
- Join 1–2 weekly in-person sessions for brainstorming, strategy, and updates.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with the CEO about tasks and progress.
- Manage your time effectively to ensure tasks are delivered 100% correctly and on deadline.
- Be willing to learn, grow, and adapt as the marketing landscape evolves.
Requirements
- Based in Blouberg or nearby.
- Reliable car for travel to shoots and meetings.
- 1–2 years of marketing/social media experience.
- Familiar with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn.
- Confident with video editing (CapCut or similar).
- Strong creative skills (copywriting + design basics).
- Attention to detail, proactive, and organised.
- Team player with excellent communication.
- Willing to learn, grow and be motivated.
