Interior Designer

About the Role:

Host Agents is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team. In this role, you will act as a property stylist and inventory controller for short-term holiday rentals, ensuring each property is stylish, functional, and tailored to guests' needs. From conducting property audits to selecting furnishings, coordinating with contractors, and styling homes for professional photo shoots, you’ll play a vital part in creating spaces that stand out in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop design concepts and space planning
• Select furnishings, décor, and materials
• Manage projects from setup to completion 
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors
• Conduct property audits and ensure quality standards
• Manage budgets and cost control
• Enhance guest experience through thoughtful design
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Interior Design or related field (certification is a plus)
• Minimum 1 year of interior design or property management experience (short-term rentals/hospitality preferred)

Skills & Competencies:

• Portfolio showcasing interior design projects (advantageous but not required to apply)
• Proficiency in design software
• Strong knowledge of design principles, colour theory, and space planning
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with design trends and best practices in the short-term rental industry 
• Budget management and cost control experience
