Photographic Intern

Jaci’s Lodges is looking for a creative, passionate and highly motivated individual who is interested in creating travel and wildlife content in the luxury African travel industry.

This individual must be passionate about wildlife and the outdoors and must be willing and able to spend 4 months in the bush, creating professional, beautifully curated wildlife and travel content for our various social media platforms which include facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

Our team provides a world class African safari experience for visitors from every corner of the globe and we are looking for someone who can showcase our African safari experience through expertly curated photo and video content.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Go out on daily game drives with our safari guides to capture wildlife content.
• Work closely with our lodge management team, staying up-to-date with dining arrangements and other daily activities, capturing and creating content of the daily happenings and highlights at the lodges.
• Professionally edit and format photo and video content, as well as create captivating and engaging Instagram reels and stories on a daily basis.
• Work closely with our marketing team to stay up-to-date with content needs and provide them with new content on a daily/weekly basis for use across our various social media channels.

• Proven experience as a photographer and videography.
• Proficiency with professional camera equipment and software tools, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other relevant applications.
• Good understanding of composition, lighting, and visual storytelling for both photos and videos.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and open to continuous learning and improvement. A basis knowledge and understanding of African wildlife (useful but not 100% necessary).
