Design Intern

Duties and Responsibilities - include but are not limited to the following: 

1. Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and conceptualize signage solutions that meet client requirements and objectives.
2. Utilize design software such as Omega and Corel-draw to create layouts, graphics, and visual elements for signage projects.
3. Apply knowledge of typography principles to create compelling and legible text for signage, considering readability and brand identity.
4. Ensure that signage designs align with client branding guidelines and effectively communicate the brand message.
5. Assist in selecting appropriate materials for signage production based on durability, aesthetics, and budget considerations.
6. Learn to prepare technical specifications and production files for signage fabrication, including dimensions, color codes, and printing techniques.
7. Participate in the development of prototypes and mock-ups to present design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
8. Support the quality assurance process by reviewing signage prototypes for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to design standards.
9. Collaborate with project managers and production teams to ensure timely delivery of signage projects within budgetary constraints.
10. Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and materials in the signage industry to contribute innovative ideas and solutions.

1. Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
2. Proficiency in design software such as Corel draw would be advantageous.
3. Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and branding concepts.
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
5. Detail-oriented with a passion for creativity and innovation.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
7.  Prior internship or coursework related to signage design is a plus.
