JOB DESCRIPTION/ SCOPE OF WORK – INTERN GRAPHIC DESIGNER
The selected candidate must show competencies in the development and execution of all artworks requested to the highest possible standards using the company approved software, corporate guidelines and meeting all the technical demands for required production and delivery.
MAPEI South Africa typically requires the following artwork to be created, but not limited to:
- Packaging – Bags, Alupacks and labels
- Brochures and Documents – both editing existing and new development
- Signage and branding
- Digital Content
- Advertisements
- In store branding and displays
- PowerPoint presentations
- Digital display layouts
Please note: All the above have various different output requirements, and sometimes are needed to be multipurpose across the various types.
The selected candidate must be able to support and deliver on all.
The MAPEI Group as a company has adopted Adobe Creative Cloud as its preferred platform and the apps are PhotoShop, Indesign and Illustrator. Where needed, any existing CorelDraw artwork to be converted into accepted company platforms – experience in CorelDraw is an advantage. T
The designer must be able to:
- Design and layout according to brief
- Make ready and finalisation
- Required output generation IE: Print ready PDF etc.
- Package and share all open files and artwork with MAPEI marketing team for archiving and their records
- Follow internal process for quoting & order placement alongside our procurement team
- Drive and have their own vehicle
- Able to work exclusively from our head office in Germiston – no hybrid or work from home policy in place
- Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design
- Certificates in Adobe Creative Cloud programs
- Portfolio of individual work or varsity portfolio
