Creative Director — Motionworx Location: Pretoria, South Africa (On-site) Salary: R50,000 per month Start Date: January 2026 About Us Motionworx is a leading creative technology studio that merges cinematic storytelling, design, and real-time production to craft immersive virtual experiences for global brands. Our flagship platform, NOVA, is redefining virtual engagement - helping companies deliver visually powerful and highly engaging presentations and live virtual events at scale. We are seeking a Creative Director to join our Pretoria team full-time and lead the next phase of our creative evolution.

The Role As Creative Director, you will lead the creative vision and execution across all Motionworx and NOVA projects. You will direct a multidisciplinary team of designers, video editors, motion artists, and Unreal Engine specialists to create cinematic, story-driven virtual experiences that elevate client brands and redefine digital storytelling. This role requires a combination of leadership, creative excellence, and hands-on direction. You will drive ideation, guide production, and ensure that every project achieves world-class quality and impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary creative team.
• Define and uphold a strong creative direction for the Motionworx and NOVA brands.
• Oversee the entire creative process from concept to final output.
• Collaborate with internal leadership and clients to align creative vision with strategic goals.
• Direct the design and execution of virtual sets, immersive environments, and cinematic motion content.
• Maintain a high standard of quality and consistency across all deliverables.
• Foster a positive, focused, and innovative creative environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in creative direction, motion design, or immersive media.
• Proven track record leading creative teams and delivering high-impact projects.
• Strong conceptual and storytelling skills.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine, virtual production, or real-time graphics is highly advantageous.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
• A portfolio demonstrating innovation, craft, and creative excellence.
