Multi-media content creator

The Dutch Reformed Church in SA (Synod of the Western Cape) has a full-time position available in Bellville for a multimedia content creator to expand their communications team. The suitable candidate is a dynamic, creative storyteller who will be responsible for the development of multimedia content, including videos, podcasts and social media placements in line with the communication strategy under the direction of the communications manager.

• A relevant tertiary qualification in visual communication
• Proven bilingual communication skills (Afrikaans and English)
• Experience in a multimedia enviroment
• Proven experience with WordPress and JavaScript
• Past experience with content creation for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok
• Proven experience with the creation of video content using programmes such as Adobe Creative Suite
• Attention to detail with good time management and organisational skills
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Ability to function well under pressure
• Exceptionally creative personality
• Ethical and value-driven life philosophy and Christian values
• Present a portfolio of work (including videos, reels and podcasts) as well as active social media accounts or handles
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
