Internship Inter design leading to Junior position

We would like to offer you a 2,5-month paid internship at My Place in Cape Town, designed to give you hands-on experience in our design process, sourcing, and project execution.

The internship runs from Monday, 19 January to Tuesday, 31 March 2026, with a monthly stipend of ZAR 7,500, paid at the end of each month.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm in our studio. Around mid-March, we’ll review your progress and discuss possible next steps or future opportunities within the studio.

The internship includes: Hands-on project experience AI-assisted concept work and design development Sourcing and coordination tasks within live projects You’ll need your own laptop, car, and Wi-Fi at home. Petrol and phone costs for studio-related work will be covered upon submission of receipts. We will have two (or possibly more) interns joining during this period. After the internship phase, we’ll select one candidate to continue with us in a Junior Designer position.

This period allows us to see how the team dynamic, work ethic, timing, and creative drive fit within the studio culture.
