Sales and Service person

An exciting opportunity exists within our company for 1 or more students who have a passion for combining antiques with interior design.

This is a part-time on-site contract (3 months) role initially for a Sales and Service Specialist and could become permanent thereafter.

If you genuinely have a passion for Design, Antiques and Collectables across the spectrum (period and design) and from across the world then we would love to meet you.

In essence this would be an entry-level position but with the potential to grow quite extensively in the Interior Design and or management of the store.

The Sales and Service Specialist will be responsible for communicating with customers, suppliers, providing exceptional customer service, achieving sales targets and advising customers of product options.

The operating days of the role are every Thursday to Sunday and public holidays. While the primary language is English, it is desirable to be able to converse in other SA languages as well.

The role requires that you keep the store and all its products clean, dust free and in impeccable condition at all times.

As a new start up we are flexible with the time required. The role could develop into a much more senior role in the future as we expand our footprint.

We are looking for a well-groomed young or young at heart, vibrant, passionate and driven individual to join our sales team with a great track record. The ideal candidate must have an interest in the Arts and its various forms (architecture, paintings, porcelain, glassworks, furniture design and metalworks) and should be able to communicate their knowledge passionately.

Ideally the person must be able to balance a very sales focussed role and the ability to provide exceptional customer service with honesty and integrity.

The ideal candidate must be very goal orientated and willing to learn continuously. The ideal must be able to communicate trends and advise on products required or requested.

The ideal candidate must be honest, operate with integrity and show self- management.
