We are looking for a motivated and resourceful individual to help grow the Saffi marketplace by recruiting new service providers and supporting customers. This role combines community outreach, social media growth, onboarding support, and light customer service.
The role will be focused on:
Growing Saffi’s social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok).
Engaging with providers and customers through comments, messages, and groups.
Driving provider sign-ups (cleaners, tutors, gardeners, handymen, etc.).
Supporting providers during onboarding: setting up their profile, calendar, and payments.
Providing customer support around bookings, billing, and disputes.
Creating simple marketing posts/captions for social media.
Tracking and reporting on growth metrics (sign-ups, engagement, bookings).
Essential:
- Strong communication skills (written & spoken).
- Comfortable using Facebook/Instagram/TikTok for business purposes.
- Organised and able to manage multiple conversations (DMs, comments, follow-ups). Basic tech literacy — able to learn and use platforms like Sharetribe (training provided).
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
- Good people skills — friendly, approachable, and trustworthy.
- Preferred (nice to have): Experience in digital marketing, social media, or customer service.
- Ability to create simple content in Canva (posts, flyers).
- Understanding of community groups/networks in Christchurch or New Zealand.
- Knowledge of South African / Tongan / Pacific communities (since they’re part of Saffi’s early audience).
