Product & Packaging Design Intern

Prima Toys and Leisure Trading (Pty) Ltd (Company) is seeking a creative and motivated Product & Packaging Design Intern to join our team in Woodmead, Johannesburg.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience working with South Africa’s leading toy and leisure brand.

As a design intern, you will help shape how our products are experienced by customers through innovative, practical, and visually engaging packaging solutions.

This internship is ideal for recent graduates, or final-year students looking to build their portfolio and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, creative environment.

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Product Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Marketing or a related qualification
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (or aligned software solutions like: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) 
• Strong understanding of layout, colour, typography, and visual hierarchy. 
• Basic knowledge of print production and packaging techniques. 
• Attention to detail and ability to manage tasks to deadline. 
• Familiarity with 3D design software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360) will be an advantage.
