Production Design - Intern

Creation and Direction of a Live/Simulcast Radio Show: ·

• Assist the show production with weekday live and/or simulcast radio show.
• Attend feedback and planning meetings to contribute to show development.
• Develop and implement effective call-screening techniques during live broadcasts. 
• Generate and pitch interview ideas, monitor story trends, and follow up on developing news for potential inclusion in the show.
• Coordinate guest appearances, write scripts, finalize running orders, and engage in forward planning to ensure smooth show execution. 
• Conduct in-depth research to support show content and guest interviews.

2. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: 

• Work closely with the presenter, junior co-producer, and other relevant stakeholders, including EWN, to ensure seamless show production. ·
• Assist the show producer by Identify valuable listener interactions, such as calls and WhatsApps, to enhance online content.
• Assist in monitoring social media platforms for audience feedback and ideas 
• Participate in final briefings with the host before the show airs to align on key points and expectations. · Attend post-show debriefs to evaluate performance and gather insights for future improvements.

3. Contribution to Digital and Regulatory Objectives:

• Support the growth of Primedia+ by alerting the digital content team to notable on-air moments for potential online promotion.
•  Assist the producer by tracking and flagging the completion of required CSI (Corporate Social Investment) interviews, ensuring they are accurately noted on the show planner.

4. Show-Related Administration:

• Liaise with the programming coordinator to assist with process of payments and invoices for contributors in a timely manner. 
• Assist with listener correspondence, responding to requests for audio links, guest information, book titles, etc. 
• Ensure that prize-winners' details are accurately captured and processed promptly.

• Related diploma or degree is preferable but any tertiary qualification
