Responsibilities:

• Design engaging and visually appealing websites and landing pages, particularly on the WordPress platform.
• Customise WordPress themes and templates to align with brand guidelines and ensure that designs are accurately translated into functional and responsive web interfaces.
• Collaborate with marketing managers to ensure that designs align with branding strategies and enhance user engagement on WordPress and other platforms.
• Test designs for usability and accessibility issues and refine as needed, particularly focusing on WordPress site optimisation.
• Manage design projects from concept through to completion under tight deadlines.
• Manage ongoing web maintenance and regularly update blog content to ensure the website remains current and engaging.

• Exceptional visual design skills with a keen understanding of user interface design.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Up to date with the latest Web design trends, techniques, and technologies, especially related to WordPress.
• Good organisational skills, managing time effectively under tight deadlines.

• Highly proficient in all design aspects and attentive to details and quality.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Openness to receiving feedback and making iterative changes to designs.
• Must be tech-savvy and comfortable with technology, to effectively use our unique in-house platforms (training will be provided)

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualification in Web Design or Digital Design or a related field.
• A solid foundation in HTML and CSS, with a strong understanding of WordPress theme structure and design customisation. 
• Experience with responsive design and mobile-first web design principles.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating skill in creating visually appealing and user-focused web designs, especially on WordPress.
• Experience with WordPress, including themes and plugins.
• Basic knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles.
