Junior Graphic Designer

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Junior Graphic Designer ready to launch their creative career at SydSen—an innovation-led, AI-driven organisation operating across South Africa and the Middle East.

This role involves day-to-day design execution across UX design, training documentation, and social media content, but more importantly, it opens a long-term path for growth into creative technology, design automation, and self-driven collaboration.

You’ll join a small team building internal tooling, automating content pipelines, and pushing the boundaries of how design, data, and frontend development intersect.

Core Responsibilities

• Design user interfaces in Figma for internal tools and client-facing platforms
• Layout brochures, handbooks, and training documents in InDesign
• Create social media posts and campaign content in Illustrator/Figma
• Perform basic image editing and asset cleanup in Photoshop
• Create and develop copy with AI tools to shape visual narratives
• Support all divisions of SydSen across SA and ME regions
• Help maintain design systems and reusable components

Minimum Requirements

1. Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or Multimedia Design OR at least 3 years in a design role. 
2. We welcome first-time job seekers, but candidates must be able to showcase relevant design work—whether created during studies, internships, or personal projects.
3. Proficiency in: 

• Figma (UI/UX design) 
• InDesign (layout) o Illustrator (visual content)
• Photoshop (image prep/editing)

• Portfolio with at least 5 original works Preferred Attributes
• Fluent in macOS (preferred OS environment)
• Strong understanding of layout, brand, and typography
• Basic creative writing/copy skills for layout and content support
• Curious and enthusiastic about AI, automation, and content innovation
• Strong organisation, adaptability, and collaboration
