Social Media & Content Creation Intern

The International Maarif School Cape Town is currently seeking a motivated and creative student to join our team as a Social Media & Content Creation Intern on a paid, part-time basis.

This opportunity is for students who may be interested in gaining practical experience in content creation, social media management, and digital marketing within an educational environment.

This internship is designed for aspiring content creators, marketers, photographers, videographers, and communications students looking to build their portfolios while working on real-world projects and campaigns.

Internship Overview: The successful candidate will work alongside our marketing manager and assist with creating engaging content that showcases the vibrant life of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture photo and video content at school events and activities.
• Create and edit engaging social media content, including reels and short-form videos.
• Support the school's social media and marketing initiatives.
• Assist with content planning, promotional campaigns and events when necessary.
• Collaborate with the marketing manager to strengthen the school's brand presence and communication efforts.

Candidate Requirements:

• Interest in social media, photography, videography, content creation, or digital marketing.
• Basic editing skills using platforms such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
• Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and current social media trends.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A creative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow. 
•  Access to a personal laptop.

Additional Information: 

Position: Paid Social Media & Content Creation Internship.

Location: International Maarif School Cape Town.

Commitment: Part-time, with onsite presence required 4 times per week, as well as attend certain events on weekends if necessary.

Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a short practical task to demonstrate their content creation skills.
