Are you a creative storyteller with a camera in one hand and a cause in your heart? OUTA is looking for a digitally savvy, politically aware Digital Content Creator to help us tell powerful stories and grow our impact online.

About OUTA:

We’re South Africa’s leading public accountability organisation — fighting corruption, holding power to account, and making sure our democracy works for all of us. We rely on public support to fund our investigations and legal actions. Now, we want to tell these stories through compelling, social-first video.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conceptualise, script, shoot, and edit short -and long-form videos for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
• Identify which of OUTA’s stories, investigations, or wins would make great video content.
• Create content that’s thumb-stopping, shareable, and mission-aligned. 
• Work with the marketing team to plan campaigns and amplify public engagement.
• Stay on top of digital trends, meme culture, and social justice storytelling styles.

Who We’re Looking

• For A recent graduate (or early-career professional) in Media, Film, Journalism, Digital Marketing, or a related field. 
• You’ve created TikToks, Reels, YouTube Shorts or documentary-style content — either personally or professionally.
• You’re comfortable behind and in front of the camera, with strong editing skills.
• You’re deeply interested in South African current affairs, politics, and public accountability.
• You’re proactive, collaborative, and driven by purpose — not just clicks.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci
• Resolve Comfort using Canva or motion graphic tools
• A portfolio or social media handle with examples of your work
