About the role:

We are seeking a creative and motivated Junior Animation/Video Editor with a passion for video editing and a strong interest in artificial intelligence (AI). In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our video production team in creating engaging and innovative video content while exploring the integration of AI-based technologies to enhance our video editing processes. Your keen interest in AI will play a crucial role in exploring new possibilities and staying at the forefront of video editing trends.

Key Responsibilities:
Video Editing:

• Collaborate with the video production team to edit raw footage into compelling and visually appealing videos, ensuring a seamless flow of content.
• Trim and organise footage to match the script and creative vision while maintaining a strong sense of storytelling and emotion.

Animation:

• Use animation software and tools to create captivating motion graphics, characters, and visual effects that enhance the storytelling process.

AI Integration:

• Stay up to date with the latest AI-based tools and technologies relevant to video editing and explore their potential applications in enhancing our editing processes.
• Research and experiment with AI-powered features such as automated video tagging, scene recognition, and automatic colour correction to streamline editing workflows.

Creative Input:

• Contribute innovative ideas during brainstorming sessions to elevate the overall quality and uniqueness of our video content.
• Suggest and experiment with AI-driven video effects and techniques to create novel visual experiences.

Quality Control:

• Ensure that the final edited videos meet our company's quality standards and align with the brand's visual identity.
• Continuously review and improve editing techniques to deliver high-quality video content.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other team members, including videographers and content creators, to ensure a cohesive and consistent production process.

Training and Skill Development:

• Proactively seek learning opportunities to improve your video editing skills and expand your knowledge of AI technologies as they relate to video production.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Qualification in Film and TV Production or related field.
• A strong passion for video editing and storytelling, demonstrated through a portfolio of previous work or personal projects.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with AI concepts and technologies, with a keen interest in exploring their applications in video editing.
• Basic understanding of AI-powered tools commonly used in video editing, such as automated tagging, object recognition, and video analytic.
• Excellent creative thinking and problem-solving skills to push the boundaries of traditional video editing and embrace AI-driven innovations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various stakeholders in the production process.
• Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and various delivery platforms is a plus.
