The Gig:

Are you a design wizard who knows how to tell a visual story? A content creator that understands the power of video? A GIF banter master? We are looking for a  full-time Junior Designer & Content Creator to join our marketing department. We’d love an innovator who is enthusiastic to grow and learn... And provide good banter in the team chats. Is this you? Join the creative force behind our visual identity, crafting content that educates the local market on the latest Martech solutions and engages our amazing C-Suite clients. This role isn't just about pixels; it's about being at the forefront of understanding tech solutions that are changing the game for some of the biggest SA brands.  We need someone who can help us celebrate our global technology partners, champion our in-house experts, and help us build a community by making tech easy to understand and love.

Where You'll Work Your Magic:

You'll collaborate closely with our Content Coordinator, Copywriter and Marketing Manager to make marketing magic through your visual wizardry. As this is a junior role, we get that you’re looking to learn and grow. You will work alongside a team that aims to empower you, expose you to training and take you along the journey of understanding the ever-evolving needs of the C-Suite, their pain points and the gaps our technology solutions fill. Our commitment to you? A rad marketing team that cares, varying daily tasks to keep you learning, considered feedback, and regular growth check-ins. 

Your realm of design mastery will include:

Graphic & Digital Design: Specialising in crafting visually striking graphics for various platforms including social media posts, presentations, swag, banners, and marketing materials. Additionally, adept at assisting in designing and developing digital assets such as website elements, email templates, and digital advertisements to enhance our online presence and elevate user experience.

Video Editing: Interested in helping us do quick edits to our YouTube and Social videos.

Quality Assurance: Ensuring design deliverables meet standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency, with meticulous attention to detail throughout the design process.

Creative Expansion: Adapting designs for various platforms and formats while maintaining brand coherence and visual integrity.

Continuous Learning: Staying abreast of design trends, tools, and best practices to enhance skills and capabilities continually that support overarching marketing strategies and continue to position YOUKNOW as local thought leaders.

What You'll Need to Make Magic With Us:

• A degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• A fundamental understanding of digital marketing principles and proficiency in navigating social media platforms.
• Experience in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, After Effects) and Canva.
• Proficiency in office tools such as Microsoft Suite, Google Slides, docs & sheets.
• Exposure to team productivity tools such as Slack, Notion and Monday.com is a bonus.
• Willingness to learn about our technology solutions and complete training A flair for organisation, the ability to work independently and within a team
• A strong GIF game is an added advantage
