To broaden my design skills, I freelance in my spare time whether it’s a new brand identity, logo or website. With the help of my spacial awareness skills, I have found a new passion for UX/UI design. I am motivated to create purpose-driven design that is impactful for the user. As a designer, I am easily adaptive to the client's needs.

What makes me unique as a person is that I question everything, I always want to know why and I tend to be very determined to find the answers. I have a unique approach to design, I believe in breaking everything down to little pieces and rebuilding it into something new and unique. As a designer I prefer to do app design and website design. I also tend to dabble in illustrating, my style is very rough, experimental and is deeply influenced by the punk and Dadaism movement.

My name is Jessica McDuling. I am a Vega graduate in Digital Design and will be going on to study honours in the year to follow. I am experienced in using the Adobe Suite and have skills such as illustration, video editing , VR and 3D model creation, web design/programming and marketing. Achievements throughout my studies include a campaign project for Bosch Tools that was submitted to the Loeries. I work well in teams, think creatively and I am a very level headed and calm individual.

I am a South African designer from Cape Town. I have always connected with Art, Storytelling and problem solving. I love creating imaginative and emotionally provoking work that adds value or expands the safety of spaces for the given audience. My skills are applied utilising Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects, Google Suite and Microsoft Office. I have basic understanding of HTML5 and CSS3 code.

My design aesthetic would be categorized as minimalist, however there are elements that I draw from the post-modern design movement of Memphis.
