That fascination never faded, it evolved into my dream to create those same meaningful experiences for others. I mainly specialise in Level, UI/UX design and the creation of 3D assets.

I am a game designer with a strong interest in the artistic side of development, using creativity to imagine unique worlds and bring them to life through games. I’m especially drawn to darker, atmospheric settings such as grimdark and dystopian fiction, where storytelling and visual design combine to create immersive experiences. I am comfortable using the Unity Engine and Blender, but I continuously strive to expand my skills with other engines and media. My goal is to create meaningful and memorable experiences that not only entertain but also leave players thinking long after the game ends.

I’m a technical artist specialising in game art and development, with a deep love for character and environmental design. Experienced in Unity, Blender, and Android Studio, I manage full development workflows from concept to completion. As a team-oriented creative and natural mediator, I thrive in collaborative environments while quickly adapting to new tools and challenges to meet the needs of each project. As a creator, I aim to bridge the gap where art becomes experience and narration becomes emotion.

I’m Rei van der Walt, a Game Design and Development student, passionate about creating immersive experiences. I specialise in UI design, gameplay mechanics, and level design, bringing stories and systems together. With over three years of experience, I’ve developed games, apps, and websites, taking projects from creating Figma wireframes to fully functional products. Software skills; C#, C++, Java, Kotlin, Delphi, Python, SQL, HTML/CSS, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Blender and Figma. Driven by curiosity and creativity, I push ideas from concept to completion.
